Visit to the Old Courthouse in St. Louis

Have a case on the east side of Missouri, and it was neat to stop in downtown St. Louis to see the arch and old courthouse aligned with it. The old courthouse is most famous for the trial of Dred Scott, an important case in the civil rights movement for African Americans, which went on for over a decade on appeal to the Supreme Court. I wish they still made the courthouses like this instead of the increasingly common new modern design! A beautiful and timeless old style that invokes strength, power and stability. Nothing beats the Gateway Arch as well…a world class monument and wonder that I had not seen since I was a kid!  #missourilawyer #eastside
