Trial Attorney Wichman advises law students at mock trial competition acting as one of a 3 panel juror for event

Criminal Defense Attorney Kevin Wichman was happy to advise law students and give them counsel and direction in their trial advocacy skills and career path and development in Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the weekend prior when he acted as a juror for an advanced mock trial competition compromised of teams from 11 different law schools. The event, entitled the 2024 E. Earle Zehmer Memorial Mock Trial Competition, was put on by the Florida Association of Justice, a state division of the larger American Association of Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association) which Attorney Wichman has been actively involved with through the years, especially as a young attorney, when he was awarded the Excellence Award for the Young Lawyers Division. Attorney Wichman was also a member of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association (formerly Kansas Association of Justice) and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the respective state organizations, and is now finding it rewarding to be apart of the Florida organization, giving him opportunities to give back now to the younger members starting out in the legal profession, while networking and getting to know new people in the legal community of Florida outside of his cases. Judge Lucy Ramos-Miller of the 17th Judicial Circuit of Broward County, Florida Courthouse did a wonderful job presiding over the mock trial that Attorney Wichman was apart of and provided a realistic experience for the students in her courtroom for them to learn from and hone their trial skills. Congratulations to all the teams, and especially this years winners from the University of Miami Law School!
