Attorney Wichman wins two trials on each side of KC metro in same day!

Great day today…I had two trials set for today, which is not common as one is plenty, but I made it work out with a shorter one in the morning in Jackson County Missouri Courthouse, and the second in the afternoon in Leavenworth County Kansas Courthouse. I won both trials, with the first as a plaintiff/petitioner in a civil case of a protection order, and the second as defense in a criminal trial. The criminal trial was a unique and special win in the sense that late into the trial, and before the judge even had the opportunity to deliver a not guilty verdict for my client, we had essentially even convinced the prosecutors for the state that my client would likely be found not guilty and they moved the court on their own to dismiss all the charges in the middle of my client testifying on the stand. The court granted the dismissal ‘with prejudice’, meaning that the case was over and the charges could not be brought again, and my client was free to go. That was the proper thing for the State to realize as well and I am glad they took that action. Justice has prevailed in both cases and I was happy to have the opportunity to help both clients out and glad they had the confidence in me to go to trial as to deliver them that best case scenario and result. Happy Monday!
